All travellers should be up to date with their tetanus immunization as the disease is spread throughout the world and is potentially a hazard to life. A booster dose is given via a single injection, and if you have not had one in the last ten years, this is indicated. It is often combined with polio and diphtheria vaccines as a single injection.
